The Jamaican Forestry Department offers rustic accommodations (rooms with bunk beds) as well as campsites for tents at two locations within the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park:
- Holywell Recreation Area just inside the park, off the main road from Kingston
- Portland Gap Recreation Area, on the edge of the park on the trail to Blue Mountain Peak
The Blue Mountain Wilderness Retreat is deep in the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park.
Strawberry Fields Together, located between Ocho Rios and Port Antonio on Jamaica’s north-east shore, offer campsites, along with their cottages and villas, on their 18 Acre Nature Sanctuary.
Another privately owned campground is at Scatter Waterfalls, located in the Rio Grande Valley south of Port Antonio. Several hiking trails are situated near the river and falls.
There are also a few campgrounds (mostly rustic cabins / some have space for tents) around:
- Treasure Beach (on the south-west coast between Negril and Kingston)
