Golf Barbados – Course Locations and Information
One of the best golf destinations in the Caribbean, Barbados offers half a dozen links to choose from, including a couple of 9 hole courses. Course designers include Tom Fazio, Ron Kirby and Robert Trent Jones Jr.
Great Barbados Golf courses include:
- Located at the southern end of Barbados in Christ Church
- 18-hole / Par 72 golf course measuring 6,805 yards
- Occasional home to the Barbados Open, this course was re-designed/built in 2000 by Ron Kirby. The environmentally sensitive design features gently rolling hills and wide-open fairways with a few old trees and two strategically placed water hazards.
- Located centrally near the west coast of Barbados, the facility offers 3 golf courses along with a driving range:
- The Old Nine is a Par 36 that plays to 3,345 yards, with tree-lined fairways and small greens
- The Country Club’s 18-hole / Par 72 course measuring 7,060 yards was designed by Tom Fazio with several water hazards and relaxing views of the Caribbean Sea
- The Green Monkey is exclusive to Sandy Lane guests. The 18-hole / Par 72, 7,343 long course is a Tom Fazio creation. The repurposed limestone quarry offers stunning views and significant elevation change.
Apes Hill Club [SUST-ECO]
- Located about halfway up the west coast of Barbados
- 18-Hole / Par-72 championship course plays to 7,150 yards (Professional Tees) or just over 5,000 yards (Front Tees)
- The course was designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2010 – The environmentally conscious property effectively doubles as a small wildlife sanctuary
- Located near the west coast in the middle of Barbados
- 18-hole / Par 72 golf course measuring 7,045 yards
- The Robert Trent Jones Jr course is a private estate for villa owners or renters, plus limited availability to approved offsite golfers.
- Set in a tropical setting, the course has spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and features multiple bunkers as well as a ravine hazard
- Located near the south-west coast of Barbados in Christ Church
- The flat parkland course consists of 9 holes with alternate tees for an 18-Hole / Par 70 experience measuring 5,610 yards
There’s also an 18-Hole “standard” mini-putt course, Barbados Mini Golf, located in the western / centre area of the island.
