Some of the best Grenada dive sites South of the island include (from North to South):

  • Fisherman’s Paradise
    • This dive site features a small reef with multiple overhangs / caves, covered in corals and sponges. The reef is home to lobsters and eels, as well as turtles and large schools of fish. Due to the strong currents, this dive site is recommended for advanced divers only.
  • San Juan Shipwreck
    • This 105-foot cargo ship is known for the presence of large fish and sharks. Due to the strong currents, this dive site is recommended for advanced divers only.
  • King Mitch Shipwreck
    • Over 150-feet long, this former minesweeper can be found 90 to 110 feet (28-33m) below the surface and features large fish, turtles, barracudas, rays and plenty of sharks. Due to the depth and strong currents, this dive site is recommended for advanced divers only.
  • Glovers Island
    • This dive site ranges in depth from 20 to 45 feet (5-15m) and features a variety of marine life.
  • Shark Reef
    • This dive site ranges in depth from 35 to 70 feet (11-20m) and features large coral structures with crustaceans as well as large fish along with turtles, rays and sharks. A great drift dive site, however due to the strong currents, this dive site is recommended for advanced divers only.
  • Lighthouse Reef
    • A good dive site for experienced divers to see large fish, rays and sharks.
  • Red Reef
    • This dive site ranges in depth from 40 to 75 feet (12-22m) and features unique patches of reef and sandy bottoms that are home to a large amount of rays as well as turtles and sharks.
  • Hema 1 Shipwreck
    • The 170-foot freighter sits in water ranging from 90 to 110 feet (28-33m) of water and features barracudas, sharks and rays. Due to the depth and strong currents, this dive site is recommended for advanced divers only.
  • Persia II Shipwreck
    • This ship is resting in 100 feet (30m) of water. Due to the depth and strong currents, this dive site is recommended for advanced divers only.
