Surrounded by deep plunging walls and protective shallow reefs, the Cayman Islands offer some of the best Caribbean Diving imaginable – One of the best (Top 3) destinations in the Caribbean. These islands are relatively secluded and that means pristine clean oceans and healthy coral reefs. Scuba dive in the Cayman Islands and experience an amazing underwater landscape, where vibrantly coloured marine life can be enjoyed in fairly calm and amazingly clear warm waters. The Cayman Islands are truly a Diver’s Paradise!

While some Caribbean Islands have a beach for every day of the year, the Cayman Islands offer 365 different dive sites along with dozens of Dive Centers and Dive Boat Operators. The underwater mountain range known as the Cayman Trench provides incredible sea walls to explore – They’re covered in coral and sponges and descend to depths of over 2000 feet. There’s plenty of caves, chutes, and swim-through tunnels to examine, making the Cayman Islands famous for epic wall diving.

Along with coral and sponge, life under the sea’s surface includes several varieties of colourful tropical angelfish and triggerfish, along with puffer fish, as well as large species like tarpon, snapper and Jacks. Look closer and you may see small gramma, basslet, blenny and yellowhead jawfish… maybe even the elusive spotted drum! You could also spot hawksbill turtles, gentle southern stingrays as well as spotted eagle rays, sharks and several eel species. Look carefully at the sea bottom and you might find lobsters and shrimp.

Grand Cayman – West Coast

• Over 50 dive sites, including spectacular wall diving with swim-through arches and canyons. There’s also shallow reefs with plenty of coral and marine life. Of course, there’s the famous 251-foot, 5-deck USS Kittiwake wreck to explore as well! There are locations for the Beginner diver, advanced diver and everything in between!

Grand Cayman – North Wall & North Sound

• Over 40 dive sites including the Cayman Barrier Reef’s gorgeous aquatic gardens, the less touristy Stingray City Deep as well as the epic North Wall – plunging steeply thousands of feet into the deep! Enjoy a wide variety of marine life off the island’s north side.

Grand Cayman – East End

• While there are over 50 dive sites all around the east end of Grand Cayman, few venture out here – That means un-populated dives along the east wall in pristine coral canyons and valleys in the company of plenty of large tarpon!

Grand Cayman – South Side

• Over 30 dive sites can be found on the oft-forgotten side of Grand Cayman. Explore a colourful coral mini wall full of fingers, tunnels and arches. There’s lots of juvenile fish to appreciate as well.

Cayman Brac Dive Sites

• With over 60 dive sites and relatively few visitors, Cayman Brac offers an incredible oasis for divers! There’s shore diving, shallow reefs brimming with corals and marine life, as well as deep walls and swim-throughs to explore. There are also plenty of shipwrecks, including the 330-foot Tibbets (Russian / Cuban Navy Ship) with its guns still in place.

Little Cayman Dive Sites

• With 60 dive sites, including the world-famous Bloody Bay wall, Little Cayman diving is a fantastic experience. The wall descends several thousand feet and is home to colourful corals, sponges and sea fans. There are plenty of rays, barracudas, sharks and large fish there as well!
