Dive Sites on the North side of Grand Cayman

Surrounded by deep plunging walls and protective shallow reefs, the Cayman Islands are home to some of the best (Top 3) Scuba Diving in the Caribbean Diving!  The islands’ relative seclusion in the Caribbean Sea results in some of the cleanest ocean waters with healthy coral reefs.     • Starting at 60 feet (18m) deep, this site has a deep tunnel swim-through
  • Bear’s Paw
    • A relatively shallow site at 30 feet (9) deep featuring coral fingers as well as turtles
  • Ledges

  • Hole in the Wall
    • A deep crevice 60 feet (18m) deep in the North Wall
  • Blue Pinnacles
    • At 60 feet (18m) deep on the North Wall you’ll see steep vertical drops and large coral points, along with sponges and sea fans
  • Main Street
    • At 60 feet (18m) deep on the North Wall you’ll encounter a long ‘street’ carved in the coral with plenty of fish and crustaceans
  • Tarpon Tunnels
  • Tarpon Alley West
    • At 50 feet (15m) deep you’ll see a coral gully / canyon in the North Wall. Formerly frequented with hundreds of large tarpon, the area now has a few barracuda, rays and sharks.

  • Stingray City (Deep)
    • At a shallow 12-15 feet (4m) deep, this unique sand bottom site is home to dozens of gentle southern stingrays. You’ll see a few coral heads along with the occasional eel.
  • John Halas Wall
  • Princess Penny’s Wall
    • At 50 feet (15m) deep you’ll see a colourful coral pinnacle covered with sponges and sea fans jutting out from the North Wall
  • Black Forest North
    • This site has a wall covered in black coral along with a steep drops-off at 50 feet (15m) deep
  • Eagle Ray Pass
    • At about 50 feet (15m) deep along the North Wall you’ll encounter a large coral canyon with a large archway and several sizable crevices. The area is covered with colourful sponges and sea fans as well as black coral. Of course, small groups of eagle rays are frequently spotted here. There’s also turtles and schools of fish.
  • Lemon Reef
    • A relatively shallow site at 30 feet (9m) deep with plenty of colourful coral fingers and macro animal life. A good spot for underwater photography.

  • Lemon Wall
    • Starting at 55 feet (17m) deep, this site is home to lemon sharks, rays and lobsters living among the wall’s coral.
  • Mary’s Garden
  • Blue Peter Reef
    • A relatively shallow site at 30 feet (9m) deep, this site is alive with coral, tropical fish, crustaceans as well as eels.
  • Leslie’s Curl
    • At 60 feet (18m) deep this site is home to colourful marine life and eagle rays are often spotted here
  • Round a Bout

    • Starting at 50 feet (15m) deep near the North Wall this site has a large coral wall frequented by hammerhead sharks, eagle rays as well as large fish

    • A colourful wall starting at 60 feet (18m) deep
  • Dream Weaver Reef
    • At 55 feet (17m) deep you’ll encounter colourful spires of coral along with several swim-throughs
  • Monet’s Garden

  • Chinese Wall
    • Venture 60 feet (18m) deep and you’ll likely see turtles and sharks along this mini-wall
  • Harlequin
  • Robert’s Wall
    • At 50 feet (15m) deep this site has a nice variety of interesting coral structures along with plenty of sponges and black coral
  • Gail’s Mountain
    • At less than 50 feet (15m) deep this site features a long ridge with some amazing coral formations, along with a steep drop-off leading to large canyon. It’s a colourful area with plenty of tropical fish.
