The Best Carriacou Dive Sites off the North and West Coasts of the Island
With its healthy coral reefs and marine life biodiversity, Grenada is a top Scuba Diving destination in the Caribbean. Carriacou is aptly known as the ‘Island of Reefs’ and is home to a couple dozen dive sites. Dive sites off the west coast of Carriacou offer opportunities for beginners as well as experienced divers to get beneath the waves, all close to shore.

Some of the best Grenada dive sites off the North Coast of Carriacou include:
- Gun Point
- This dive site ranges in depth from 60 to 90 feet (18-28m) and features patches of sand and reefs. Due to the strong currents, this dive site is recommended for advanced divers only.
Note: It is also possible for experienced divers to drift dive further north in the channel between Carriacou and Union Island…
Some of the best Grenada dive sites off the West Coast of Carriacou include (from North to South):
- Arc du Vero
- This dive site has a maximum depth of 40 feet (12m) and features an amazing reef with swim-throughs and is home to crabs, eels and octopus. A great site for beginners.
- Triggerfish Alley
- Jack-A-Dan West Side
- This dive site has a maximum depth of 50 feet (15m) and features a shallow reef with eels and schools of fish. Due to the potential of strong currents, this dive site is recommended for experienced divers only.
- Jack-A-Dan
- This dive site has a maximum depth of 60 feet (18m) and features a reef plus a sandy bottom frequented by rays. A good dive site for beginners.
- Jetty (Hillsborough) Shore Dive
