Jamaica Diving Info – Dive Sites & Boat Operators
A great island in the Caribbean for scuba diving, Jamaica offers over a hundred dive sites around the island. The island features a narrow fringing coral shelf close to shore along most of the north coast, as well as a number of wide reefs off the south coast. Jamaica diving is also available at more remote locations south of the island at the Pedro Cays and the Morant Cays, as well as the Formigas Banks to the north-east of the island. In an effort to improve the health of Jamaica’s reefs and sea life, Marine Parks have been established at Montego Bay and Negril.
There’s something for divers of all skills and interests to enjoy in Jamaica – There’s reefs, wrecks and walls, even underwater caves to explore. You’re sure to see a wide variety of colourful coral, fish and more. If you’ve always wanted to try scuba diving, Jamaica is a great place to get started as there are dive schools and hotels on the island who offer PADI (and other) certification. Leave the hustle and bustle behind and journey to an amazing underwater world that you just can’t experience on land!
