Snorkel the Waters of Saint Kitts and Nevis – Sites and Tour Operators
Saint Kitts and Nevis offer a number of locations to snorkel along the west coast of the islands. Slip into the warm Caribbean sea and snorkel right off the beach, or visit some shipwrecks that are in less than 40 feet of clear waters. Explore a world full of diverse coral and colourful fish, that you just can’t experience on land…
Local Boat / Tour Operators who will get you in the water are listed below…
The best St. Kitts snorkeling sites include:
- South Friars Bay – There are a couple of excellent beach accessible snorkelling spots here. A long shallow reef 50 feet from shore is full of marine life.
- White House Bay – This site is beach accessible with plenty of grunts, trumpetfish, sea urchins and more in waters ranging from 5 to >20 feet (1.5m – 6m) deep
- Ballest Bay – 10 to 25 feet (3m – 8m) deep with sponges and eels
- Shitten Bay – St. Kitts’ best snorkel spot in 10 to 25 feet (3m – 8m) of water with dozens of types of fish, maybe even puffer fish, eels and rays
- Green Point Reef – 5 to 30 (1.5m – 9m) feet deep with soft corals, sponges and sea fans, along with reef fish and turtles
- Brassball Wreck – In less than 25 feet (8m) of water
- Turtle Bar Reef – 15 to 40 feet (5m – 12m) deep with schools of reef fish, along with turtles (no surprise)
