Hike Saint Lucia – Trail Info, Guides & Tour Operators

One of the better Caribbean islands for hilly rain-forest hiking, Saint Lucia offers an assortment of easy relaxing walks as well as some very challenging hikes.

No Saint Lucia hiking trip is complete without conquering the majestic Piton, one of the most iconic scenes in all of the Caribbean.  The island has about half a dozen mountains above 1,500 feet (500m), the tallest being Mount Gimie at just over 3,000 feet (950m). The Pitons, the icon of Saint Lucia, are just over 2,500 feet (780m) tall.

Local Guides / Tour Operators who can get you on the trail are listed below…

Be safe and sure with a local hiking guide or tour operator

Please note that a Saint Lucia Forestry Department day-pass, along with a local guide, is (officially) required to hike on the island. An official Forestry Service guide will probably charge $25usd per person.  Local tour operators typically also include transportation, snacks and other value-add services in their pricing…

Backpacking and camping

There are no multi-day backpacking trails on Saint Lucia. ‘Anse la Liberte’ is the only Campsite on the island and is located near Canaries, on the west coast north of Soufriere.
