Popular tourist attractions & things to do in St. Lucia in the south-west part of the island

  • The Tet Paul Nature trail is a “must see”. Guided tours cost $10usd and take about an hour to complete – Enjoy amazing views of the Pitons, as well as the south coast of the island. Your guide will also share his knowledge of local vegetation on display.
  • Chocolate lovers ‘alert’ – The Boucan – Hotel Chocolat and the Fond Doux Heritage Plantation offer tours as well as chocolate based meals
  • Coined ‘the only drive-in volcano in the world’, the Sulphur Springs at Soufriere offers mud baths, along with seeing small boiling mud and water holes
  • Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens features a guided tour of the Waterfall, Mineral Baths and Botanical Garden

  • Mamiku Botanical Gardens, remotely located just over an hour’s scenic drive from Soufriere offers a variety of forest and plantation tours that feature birds, humming birds and butterflies along with trees, plants, flowers and medicinal herbs

Where to find the best natural waterfalls

There are a few small waterfalls that are reachable without a long hike, including Anse Le-Ray waterfalls on the North-West side of the island, Dennery waterfalls less than hour south-east of Castries, as well as the SapphireToraille and Latille waterfalls, in the South-West part of the island.
